Position: Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: HealthWorks in Morgantown, WV

Schedule: Full Time 40 Hours/ Week

Compensation: starting at $17.00/ Hour

 

 

Our HealthWorks Morgantown, outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide exceptional patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. We take pride in creating an exceptional patient experience, helping all of our patients get back to athletics, work, life, and the things they love. 

 

HealthWorks is outpatient orthopedics with specialty services that include; neuro, vestibular, concussions, prosthetics and orthotics, sports medicine, amputees, oncology (ReVital), pelvic health, aquatics, functional capacity evaluations (FCEs), post offer employment testing (POETs), dry needling and fall prevention. An ideal PTA has previous OP ortho experience. We welcome new graduates who are passionate about orthopedics. 

 

 

Schedule: Full time, 40 hour work week to include two days treating until 7PM. We have a short schedule on Fridays.

 

Minimum Qualification: Associates degree from accredited school for physical therapist assistants. You must have your West Virginia PTA license to begin. We are able to interview clinicians in process of receiving WV PTA license.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
  • Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
  • Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

  • A valid state license (where applicable), registration or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant upon graduation from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
  • State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
