Select Medical is one of the largest operators of critical illness recovery hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, outpatient rehabilitation clinics, and occupational health centers in the United States based on number of facilities. Select Medical’s reportable segments include the critical illness recovery hospital segment, the rehabilitation hospital segment, the outpatient rehabilitation segment, and the Concentra segment. As of March 31, 2022, Select Medical operated 105 critical illness recovery hospitals in 28 states, 30 rehabilitation hospitals in 12 states, and 1,901 outpatient rehabilitation clinics in 38 states and the District of Columbia. Concentra operates 518 occupational health centers in 41 states. At March 31, 2022, Select Medical had operations in 46 states and the District of Columbia. Responsibilities

Select Medical is seeking an in-house operations attorney to join the corporate legal team at Select’s Headquarters in Mechanicsburg, PA.  The attorney will provide general legal advice and guidance to the company’s Concentra Division, a national leading provider of occupational health services.  Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts, addressing regulatory and compliance issues, and providing day to day legal advice on a variety of complex operational issues to the occupational health centers, as well as the regional and national teams. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have professional legal experience (at least 3 years), in a private law firm, in-house, or government setting, and a strong academic background.  Healthcare law experience is preferred but not required.   The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, writing and analytical skills, and the ability to provide legal advice in a complex, fast-paced, high growth environment.
